IMPERIAL CITIES WITH TANGIER 7NIGHTS / 8DAYS
Arrival in Casablanca and transfer, with driver, to the hotel. Dinner (according to the arrival time) and overnight stay.
Breakfast. In the morning, departure for Rabat. Arrival and visit to the capital of Morocco, with the places of greatest interest: the exterior of the mausoleum of Mohammed V, the medina, the Hassan tower, the exterior of the Royal Palace and the gardens of the Oudaya. The city has a history of ups and downs, which saw it at a certain point become the imperial capital and then reduced to a poor village, before once again conquering a position of honor. Its mighty walls enclose a largely modern city, but there are several areas that bear witness to Rabat's rich past. Second breakfast. In the afternoon, departure for Tangier: arrival and visit to the city, located on the strait that separates Europe from Africa, where the crystalline blue of the sky joins the blue of the Ocean and the green of the Mediterranean. Short visit to the city with its historic center and the medina. Dinner and overnight stay.
Breakfast. In the morning, departure for Fes. First stop in Chefchaouen, a charming town where suggestive mountains form the backdrop to the blue-painted houses. Time available for a relaxing walk in this small corner of the world so characteristic and typical. Second breakfast. In the afternoon, stop to visit Meknes, a town characterized by its beautiful medina surrounded by walls. You will arrive in Fes in the late afternoon, dinner and overnight stay in a hotel. ATTENTION: Meknes is undergoing some restoration work. The visit includes a walk in the square, in the medina and a visit to the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum (subject to opening verification by the guide, this depends on the availability of the custodian of the Mausoleum).
Breakfast. It is the oldest capital of Morocco, for many the most elegant and spiritual in the country. The city is famous for its astonishing old city or medina, an almost inextricable maze of narrow streets and alleys, markets and shops of all kinds. Visit the Bou Inania and El Attarine madrasas, the mausoleum of Moulay Idriss, the spectacular tanneries, etc. Second breakfast. In the afternoon, a short visit to the new city, with a stop at the Royal Palace, which has been superbly restored in modern times, and Al Mellah, the old Jewish quarter: now few Jews live there, but the houses, with windows and balconies overlooking the streets, are in stark contrast with the Muslim tradition. Dinner and overnight stay.
Breakfast. In the morning, departure for Marrakech, the symbolic place of the country where Islam merges with Berber traditions, where the High Atlas mountains act as a watershed for the great ochre-colored landscapes of the desert. Located at an important crossroads, it is the fourth largest city in Morocco and is still considered the southern capital of the country; in this capacity it attracts merchants and traders from the surrounding plains, the High Atlas and the Sahara. The city has a totally different atmosphere from the northern cities of the country and remains unmistakably more African than cosmopolitan Casablanca, more Moroccan than aseptic Rabat and more Berber than proud and cold Fez. Along the way, stop at the village of Beni Mellal. Second breakfast. Arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon and hotel accommodation. Dinner and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Full day tour of the city, founded in 1062 by Sultan Youssef Bin Tachfin and destined to become one of the most important artistic and cultural centers of the Islamic world. In the morning visit the Menara gardens, now open to the public but which in the past were used exclusively by sultans and important ministers, the Palais de la Bahia, the beautiful Medersa Ben Youssef and the exterior of the grandiose Koutoubia mosque, built at the end of the 12th century, which with its 70 m high minaret is visible for kilometers in every direction and is particularly spectacular at night, when it stands out illuminated against the pitch black desert sky. Optional lunch. The afternoon is dedicated to the famous Djemaa el Fna square, a unique and spectacular place, located close to the medina: jugglers, acrobats, storytellers, street vendors and all the most extravagant characters meet here, reaching their peak towards sunset. It is not only home to the souq, but is also the stage for a myriad of activities, especially at sunset. Optional Dinner in a typical restaurant and overnight stay.
Breakfast. In the morning transfer to Casablanca. Second breakfast. In the afternoon tour of the city, the most cosmopolitan and open in the country: visit to the exterior of the Royal Palace, the residential area of Habous, the Mohammed V square, the exterior of the Mosque dedicated to Hassan II, the market etc. Hotel accommodation. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel..
Breakfast (according to flight schedule). Transfer, with driver, to the airport and departure for Italy with scheduled flights. End of services.
